AWA is an award-winning firm focused on design driven projects. This extensive interior remodel was characterized by the clients’ desire to “warm up” and update their contemporary home built in the 1980’s. The main focus on the kitchen was to integrate two separate functional areas, the cooking area and the eating – food prep area by removing a wall. Using a rich palette of natural materials soften the large space. The master bath was conceived as a retreat where the clients could relax and enjoy their private garden courtyard. The owners entertain often and the house is always full of people. The extensive art collection rotates frequently while the large wall expanses are bathed in light.
