“I have a number of Bounty Elites in production since August 2016. They especially terrific for growing hot peppers – just don’t be discouraged if the plant drops a lot of flowers before the fruits set. And limit the number of plant to 3 or less per unit to give them room to grow. I’m going to take an uninformed guess here and speculate that the flowers drop when the plant is immature and not robust enough to handle the weight of the fruit. Or not. I’m no horticulturist.
In one unit I grew a bunch of edible flowers that flowered continuously for over a year. If I didn’t break it down so I could replant with something else I think it would still be producing flowers.
Some herbs work better then others. I’ve had excellent luck with shunginku, parsley, dill and basil and my savory is turning into a bush it’s grown so huge. Despite many efforts to grow cilantro, it starts out well and then the inner leaves start to grow out black tipped and greasy and my lettuce is bitter, most likely both problems are because my growing environment to too warm.
I successfully grew tomatoes, but I wasn’t happy with the flavor so at some point I’ll try again with another variety. I’m actually able to grow tasty cucumbers from seeds I purchased in a “dwarf” variety. Not a huge crop, but it’s growing well and it’s a fun project.
I purchased some lovely Thai basil at the supermarket, sprouted sprigs of it in a glass of water and placed the rooted cuttings into pods and it’s growing beautifully.
I find germination is more reliable and faster using the damp paper towel method, so I no longer bother with the pre-seeded pods and just use seeds I buy and unseeded pods and labels from Aerogarden sold as accessories.
Be prepared to replace the pump from time to time. I find they last about 8 months. They can be disassembled and cleaned out which extends their useful life and I believe there is a video on Youtube that demonstrates how to do this, but this is an added cost that folks should be aware of.

AeroGarden Harvest Elite 360 – Stainless Steel
I love gardening and since moving to a colder climate 5 years ago, I really miss spending time with plants. This arrived yesterday and was so easy to set up. You do not need prior experience with hydroponics to be able to use this. I’m starting with the herb seeds that came with it to get familiar with it and then I’m already planning what to grow next. I have it on the island in my kitchen and it brings a nice bit of sunshine inside. I couldn’t be happier with it.

This is a great product which makes it very easy to grow indoor vegetables. As a longtime gardener I was very impressed… Fantastic! I am not a green thumb whatsoever but having this gizmo makes growing tomatoes a snap. I absolutely love this. I kept track of my progress and sent weekly updates to my mom. I got this as a gift for my birthday from my daughters. They know I like to grow things, but I’m not very good at keeping plants alive. This was just the thing to keep at my desk (as well as provide additional lighting for my work area). The kit was very easy to set up; my only complaint is that the instructions are written VERY small. But, in only about a week to 10 days, I have little sprouts poking up with minimal effort on my part. I can’t wait to harvest some fresh herbs. I like the fact that this is re-usable as well. Its a cute design too!

AeroGarden Classic 6 with Gourmet Herb Seed Pod Kit
The plants in the Aerogarden (especially the basil) grow astonishingly fast, and they take very little maintenance. I add water every day to two, add fertilizer every couple weeks, and periodically prune away any part that is trying to blossom.
Adding fresh herbs has really improved my cooking. I get tons of compliments on meals I make using herbs from the Aerogarden.
I buy replacement seed pods straight from the Aerogarden website so I can choose the mix I want, and I transplant the plants to pots once I get bored of them. (You have to cut the plastic off and cut some of the roots to separate the plants, but they bounce back really quickly.) So far, I’ve grown genovese basil, thai basil, lemon basil, rosemary, sage, cilantro, mint, lavender, oregano, dill, chives, parsley, tomatoes, and peppers. I have only had two pods that failed to grow, and Aerogarden replaced them right away.

AeroGarden Harvest Elite 360
I’ve owned several AeroGardens and bought several as gifts. I got this one for a friend of my wife who is having some health issues and said she was interested in getting an AeroGarden to grow Non-GMO food. It’s a slightly different model than the one I bought last year for my mother-in-law, who is in assisted living and likes to grow flowers in hers. This has a stainless steel finish, which I thought looked nice. It’s also round instead of rectangular, which doesn’t appear to affect how much you can grow (it still grows 6 plants) but looks a little more space friendly than the rectangular version. They’re easy to set up and they actually work so they make really good gifts.

After just a three weeks, we are harvesting our first herbs, to the delight of my small gardening helpers. I like that you have a signal to tell you when to add water and nutrients. I first had the garden in my bedroom, but the noise of the motor circulating the water and the light was disturbing my sleep.
