The Balcony House with Large Glass Panels: AMB House, São Paulo
Designed by Bernardes and Jacobsen Arquitetura, the AMB House is situated on the coast of São Paulo, Guaruja City in the middle of the Atlantic Forest. The house can be called the balcony house with large glass panels that allow visual contact with the surrounding areas of the residence and the natural landscape of the region. From the street you can only see one of the three floors of the house because the terrain has accentuated slopes that give different views of an almost untouched natural landscape. The most common situation, where the rooms are upstairs and social rooms are downstairs, was reversed on the design of this residence.
Chimney House in São Paulo by Studio MK27/ Marcio Kogan
The house of 400 sqm was completed in 2009 and had two special interior designers: Diana Radomysler, Carolina Castroviejo. What I liked most is the wooden patio with trees formed by the volumetry of the house and a concrete wall. The living room is enclosed in the boxed ground floor of this volume and wide windows open it to the external space. The inner dimensions of the living room 6.5m by 10.3m, and the low ceiling of 2.40m, create a sensation of coziness, accentuated by the textured of the concrete ceiling made with narrow wooden formwork. In this way, a desired horizontal proportion for this project is created.
Transparent Residence With Amazing Scenery, Brasil
If you are not concerned about privacy and enjoy the concept of wide, open spaces, then you have come to the right place. Idea of architects Forte Gimenes and Marcondes Ferraz, the residence was completed in 2014 on a 10 031 sqm terrain that offers extremely beautiful views. Using a contemporary architectural language, the team succeeded in creating a residence with an original structure that is able to visually integrate the whole nature nearby. The external structure functions as a skeleton that carries the whole construction, while the transparent glass walls inspire fragility and fluidity. The interior respects a contemporary language too. A large living room invites the inhabitants to relax on a comfy sofa and several armchairs with simple, clean design. As for the materials, glass is a dominant element, making it possible to create lighted spaces and deep connections between areas.
Modern Private Residence: CT House in São Paulo, Brasil
Designed by Bernardes + Jacobsen Arquitetura, this modern private residence is located an hour and a half from the city of São Paulo, in a private estate for holiday homes. The deployment of the house is made up by distinct and perpendicular volumes, which envisioned the organization of spaces and function creating two plateaus, one for access and the other for leisure.
Residência do Flamengo, Flamengo Beach in Ubatuba,Brasil
Designed by Gebara Conde Sinisgalli Arquitetos, the house of 350 m² was set in a land of 54,000 m² in Flamengo Beach in Ubatuba, Brasil. The house was designed in ways that respect the environment. Therefore, the use of precast materials such as wood frame and metal roofs, were decisive. Also the dimensions of the walls (width and height) of the blocks were the result of avoiding losses and waste. The stones used were taken from the land itself.
Casa Da Caixa Vermelha by Leo Romano, Goiânia, Brasil
Located in Goiânia, Brasil, this modern house, called Casa Da Caixa Vermelha is a private residence designed by Leo Romano. The name of the home translates into “House of the Red Box” and refers to how the long cube structure is paired with a large red box unit, creating a visually distinct exterior. The house is completely surrounded by natural vegetation and appears to be blending nicely in this lush environment. Raw concrete walls, black stainless steel beams, and lush green landscape are just a few of the features that make up this South American home. Chic and industrial, it has an interior that is warm and full of character.
