Casa IV is a vibrant private home located in São Paulo, Brazil. The home has an undeniable Brazilian connection, as an open and airy ambiance is coupled with warm wooden surfaces to showcase the inimitable design style that is native to the region. Blue was the color that stood out. It gives masculinity to the decor and the desired freshness.
The project of 900 m² drew attention also to the constant presence of wood. A large accent wall covered in wooden boards also features a warm, sleek fireplace and a large piece of modern wall art that complements the room’s color palette. The contemporary esthetics of spaces also allowed include mined pieces of antique decoration, in addition to modern Italian armchairs. The material was used in panels, flooring, furniture and even the porch pergola, bringing the feeling of warmth and coziness. The wood also influence the choice of color environment. “We look for shades that illuminate the decor, but it was important that the palette was in harmony with the brown of the wood and the green outdoor area.” says the architect. Despite its charismatic use of matte orange and varying shades of blue, the living area feels exquisite and visually balanced.
