Start your stay at Podere Cecilia with a tour of the property, a Tuscan-style welcome dinner, and Prosecco toast with your hosts. This villa was restored in 2010 with state-of-the-art building systems such as a ventilated roof and insulated fixtures.
The Villa living room opens to a spacious terraced pergola with a large wraught-iron table to accommodate up to 11-13 guests for al fresco dining. A wood fired stone BBQ and pizza oven are also available for family cook outs and wine tastings. A geothermal system, combined with a radiant system under the floors, provides a “cellar effect” temperature in summer with less humidity in the air (thanks to dehumidifiers) and regular heating in winter. Thermostats in each room can customize the temperature with a few hours response time (depending on the outside temperature). The interior is furnished with family heirlooms, contemporary art and antique carpets. On the ground floor you’ll find a king-sized bedroom with a private entrance to the garden as well as a smaller loft-style single bedroom. Upstairs are four ensuite bedrooms, including the master suite, with a walk-in closet and fireplace. The guesthouse features a king-size bed in the upstairs loft, as well a kitchenette, two bathrooms, and a living room with a sofa bed.
The pool area has a beautiful view of the countryside and is located across from the Villa and Limonaia. The pool is 6 x 12 meters and has an infinity edge and lounge chairs to enjoy the Tuscan sun at its best. It is fenced-in and surrounded by all sorts of herbs and rose bushes including perrenials typical of the area.
