Vuelta a Empezar is a project completed by Egue y Seta, part of the Casa Decor 2010 held in Barcelona, Spain. It is a suite based on the idea of the Garden of Eden, as represented by the hanging vines, and great number of plants and red apples strewn throughout the space. A furnished garden where the temptation shows through wooden lattices, palm leaves and glass transparencies, suggesting a return to a hedonistic paradise where it would be a sin not to start all over again!
This room, arranged symmetrically around a glass oasis, offers separate areas for esting, grooming and relaxation visually integrated by wooden shutters and the greenery of an exotic indoor garden surrounding a Zen-inspired bath. The “live green coatings” that line the walls at each end of the room, serving as a bed headboard and a backdrop of a walk-in closet, contrast with the overall dark-grey micro-concrete envelope. This soft visual texture is thus enhanced by the grazing light casted from a tainted wooden base turned in to a long useful sideboard by its unusual height and thickness. Let yourself if be enticed by the shimmering lights of vintage signs calling the name of the first woman to live and sin. Let the ambiance temp you with the softness of its fur bed coverings and the sound of dripping water.
