Lenovo launched its new cool offices in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, which were developed within a warehouse open space. This new Lenovo office consists of 150 operational stations, 5 private offices and 5 meeting rooms. It also has a coffee area and one training room. According to Design Director James Cornwell, “The branding was a hugely important aspect of the brief so we designed the space around Lenovo’s library of powerful images and brand colours.” The main objective of the project was to provide a space that exemplifies the philosophy of an edgy, dynamic and committed to their product company, so a great emphasis was placed on the graphic image of space, for employees to ” live ” and experience the internal branding and assimilate it as part of their professional work. The results are professional-looking but comfortable spaces that is dominated by striking blocks of red and other brand symbols, such as the Lenovo-designed Beijing Olympics 2008 torch.
