Hernandez Silva Arquitectos designed FF House, this remarkable contemporary residence is located in Zapopan in Mexico. Looking at this modern home from the backyard, one thing is clear, those architects and engineers did impressive job on this house. The formal concept aims to display simple and lightweight items that observed from the outside seems to float on a wooden base. Open and spacious, yet capable of ensuring a high level of privacy and intimacy, the residence is part of a gated community. From inside the bodies give the feeling of being free and unsupported.
Home is wide open in the backyard, literally, and closed from the street. The pedestrian entrance contains a lightweight floating cover upon wooden walls that embrace the visitor, passing through a stairway escorted by gardens. The dining area opens to the garden and is connected to the kitchen and the services. The double-height living room is vast and elegant, while the kitchen is more discreet. The car entrance is extremely subtle; the gate is also covered in wood, disappearing from the view, thus achieving a smooth wall on which the second level of the house arises. Using a limited number of materials – exposed concrete and wood being the main ones – the architects created a dreamy residence that’s a pleasure to look at and live in. Interiors have great connection with every part of the site through modern hallways with, again, windows and holes on quite unexpected places. Interior Architecture is kept on minimal continuing impressive exterior design with modern atmosphere.
