A cactus garden transforms your residence into an exotic, fascinating place. This was exactly the case with Fair Palms villa realised by H3K Design, a studio specialised in residential remodelling and renovation. As you can easily notice from the pictures below, an arid, sterile terrain can become a catchy environment with some land design tips. In front of the house, lots of cacti with fleshy, leafless, spiny stems set the lines of the outdoor decor. Contrasting with tall palm trees nearby, the plants give the impression of some deserted colony that perfectly complements a contemporary stylish residence. Thus, if you live in tropical areas, think of a cactus garden as a must-have element near a dwelling that wants to look out of the ordinary.
A paved alley in the cactus garden allows access to the front door.
Blue is a dominant theme. It brings the serenity of the sky inside.
The owners love photographies and pictures. Black and white items are exhibited all around the house, making art a presence in itself.
“We collaborated closely with the homeowners to bring their dreams into reality. Custom designed with colours, furniture, fixtures and materials in close partnership with the owners to give them exactly what they wanted. This home was restored from a botched Spanish conversion that had left this modern floor plan with a giant stucco wall blocking the entire house. In an almost entirely modern neighbourhood, it stuck out”, designers explained.
A transparent glass gliding door connects the interior with the exterior, allowing natural light come inside all day long.
Aquatic elements are present in the living room: a picture with a swimmer above the fireplace, a blue carpet with stripes and an entire wall covered with azure tiles recover a sunny afternoon near the pool. Two orange armchairs create a lovely contrast.
