Modern interiors are fresh, functional and catchy. There were times when contemporary meant wide spaces without walls and arid mixes of white, grey and metallic hues. But, as diverse as we are, attractive combinations of styles have become trendy lately. Thus, baroque frames, minimalistic lighting objects, feathered pillows and marble tables can coexist harmoniously. For example, the dwelling below realised by Imativa Architects, one of the most important studios in Mexico. It features large open spaces that communicate very smoothly and surprising decorative items that add personality to every room. Moreover, a varied use of materials make the modern house feel dynamic and lively. Have a look and let us know if you enjoyed the project.
Symmetry makes the environment look clean and well organised. The room above features two beds separated by a nightstand and flanked by two adjusting reading lamps. At the end of every bed, a bench for seating or clothing was installed. Like twin sisters, they share similar covers, sheets and pillows.
The hallway functions like a binding agent between spaces, being lit by the sun all day long. Exposed beams create an amazing visual effect as the light is reflected on the floor.
On the left, art lovers can admire two beautiful drawings; on the right, a huge closet offers space for storing everything in the modern house.
One of the most spectacular areas in the house, the lavatory shines like a gem: marble and golden insertions in fine finishings.
