The Lake’s Restaurant is a Japanese restaurant showcasing the essence of simplicity and purity through its sleek architecture merging two volumes. The project was thought to be in “flying” over the lake, a fact that reinforced the desired lightness in the project. Spreading over 220 square meters on a large site area (166.000 sqm), the modern lake restaurant was imagined by Mass Arquitetura and Norea De Vitto Interiores as rallying surrounding panoramas. The goal of the project was to implement the construction of subtle and delicate way, as a part of the landscape because the vegetation is lush in the surroundings and should remain the protagonist. The project has created a clean visually space and integrated with its surroundings looking to breaking the stigma of cold and lifeless space, very commonly related to certain buildings with these characteristics. Inside, the open and bright space uses a neutral color palette that mimics the natural surroundings. Simplicity reigns here from the concrete floors to the dark framed windows and wooden furniture, making the lake the scene and the restaurant the theater.
