Plaster of Paris is a fun medium to work in. A liquid become a solid in a few short minutes and you get to decide how to form it. There are endless ways to incorporate plastered artificial flowers into your diy projects and home decor. For today we found an interesting project of upcycling : Plaster Dipped Flower Votives. For dipping, the plaster coats the petals, freezing them in creamy white loveliness. With the stamina of the plastic flower, the votives appear fragile but aren’t so.
Step 1: Gather a batch of interesting-looking flowers (grab more than you think you need in case they break during the process).
Step 2: Mix a batch of plaster in a bucket or tub. Dip the flowers in the plaster to coat them. Lay them out to dry.
Step 3: After the flowers are dry, coat them with a layer of spray paint to set the plaster.

Dip. You can dip anything in there: fake flowers (obviously) but also pinecones and little branches (and little pinecones on branches). Make sure you have prepared some contraption to hang your flowers. If you lay them down to dry they will dry up flat on one side.
