We leave in small spaces, but we have more needs. Madrid-based architectural firm PKMN Architectures created the All I Own House to be a display of the versatility and functionality of their movable shelving system. It is a great solution for small spaces. Rather than shrink down every separate room – from dining to bed to closet – to fit into a small space, this design turns one big space into everything the resident designer needs. It does so through the use of amazing movable shelving units.
According to the architects: ” The relationships we establish with the objects we own happen on a very special manner at the interior of our houses, we assume spaces we inhabit by surrounding ourselves with our belongings, thus the way in which we accumulate and display our stuff through the space ends up reflecting our personality.” This system is perfect for small spaces. This server space can be totally re arranged in just a few seconds, thus allowing, in a variety of combinations with served space, to adapt the whole house according to specific needs for the use of space at the time, enabling infinite homes within a house. The design is anchored to the ceiling along a sliding track, allowing for quick and easy shifts of the configuration. The system allows for many different spaces to be created within the home that are easily switched back and forth between one another.
