Despite its exterior facade that reminds me of a concrete factory, the house was designed to be Spanish Mediterranean in style, during the 1960s. Now, the dwelling looks totally different due to an overall remodeling directed by McClean Design studio. The owners wanted to transform it into a contemporary home, maximizing its beautiful views because the back yard did not stand out properly. Therefore, the locations of the rooms were reconfigured in order to gain space and make the areas communicate easily. Moreover, floor to ceiling sliding glass doors were used extensively in order to create flexible relationships between the habitable spaces and the outdoors. The interiors rely on a pure and simple aesthetic, making use of high-end furnishings and catchy accessories. Last, but not least, the pool and the fireplace outside create a cozy atmosphere for late night discussions with family and friends.
