This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the childhood staple brought indoors. Recently, we discovered this penthouse apartment with tubular steel slide, glass attic and quadruple-height living room by David Hotson and Ghislaine Viñas.
Architect David Hotson certainly had Holler’s work in mind when he built the tubular slide into the upper levels of an 1896 skyscraper, which had not previously been used as a residential space. The slide, however, is not the only attraction in the modern, clean apartment. Interior designer Ghislaine Viñas added vibrant touches of color throughout the home. An electric green dining table, Day-Glo orange elevator door and other bright pieces of art effectively balance the mostly white space.
