Designed by manadelucru.ro, the hotel is located on the border of Floreasca lake, Bucharest, Romania. The volume of the upper floors, the accommodation area itself, is separated from the horizontally expanding platform of the ground floor by the mezzanine, which is completely covered in glass. The white frame delineating the facade is a screen pointed at the lake, while the slight vertical offset between the various room’s French windows breathes life into the image of the facade and cancels out the predictability of the structural tissue. On the second floor – the first level reserved for guest rooms – this frame becomes balcony railing for the rooms, while on the top floor it is transformed into a canopy marking the cornice.
