If you can not afford a summer holiday this year, do not despair! With two hammocks, several tree palms and a pool, you’ll feel like bathing under the Bahamas’ sun. Spotted on galeriadaarquitetura.com.br, the house below was completed by Brasilian studio ARQ + Arquitetura in 2008. Located on a 1.462 m² area, the residence has a large ground floor that opens outside and includes a large lounge space with dining area, terrace, pool and barbecue. “It all resulted in an environment that almost illustrates the interior of the house outside, creating room for various verandas”, architect Jeferson Cardoso Pereira explains. Moreover, the holiday feels inside too. A comfortable sofa and two armchairs greet the guests in the living room, while the wooden staircase that leads upstairs creates the impression of a mountain chalet. Therefore, thermal efficient materials and adequate design solutions are key in creating a cozy house.
