Realized by American studio Ike Kligerman Barkley, the Lookout House is one of the most fascinating projects I have ever written about. Located in Fairfield County, Connecticut, the present building emerged from an old house dated 1979. As you can easily notice from the pictures below, a new construction stretches to the east like an arm that incorporates the master bedroom suite and the living room on the lower pool level. Its dynamic combination of volumes create various areas inside, making the inhabitants feel challenged, yet comfortable and relaxed around the house. Nonetheless, the luxurious property offers some special moments at the pool, be it outside or inside. With their 25th years of experience in sustainable projects, the team from Ike Kligerman Barkley studio chose geothermal heating and cooling systems, renewable materials like bamboo floors and eco-friendly paints and finishes for the Lookout House.
