The Jane Antwerp is a restaurant designed by PSLAB. We have recently received these images and we want to share with you this stunning project. PSLAB collaborating on the project to create a spectacular site-specific chandelier called the ‘Lion fish’. There’s no other way to describe the interior other than inspiring! The chandelier giving the space it’s majestic feel.
According to the architects: ” We had the opportunity to collaborate with well-known Dutch architect Piet Boon and Michelin star chef Sergio Herman and his partner Nick Bril on the design of the restaurant The Jane Antwerp, located in the chapel of a former military hospital. PSLAB worked together in every step of the design, conceptually and technically, producing life-sized prototypes to sculpt bespoke lighting that compliments the existing space and devises the desired setting precisely. The result is a gigantic 800 kilograms-weighing chandelier of 12 by 9 meters with over 150 LED- lights. It was created in such a way that it contributes to the intimate and ambient divinity of the chapel interior. Also, we laid out an overall lighting plan for The Jane to accentuate the unique elements of both the building and the interior. It is aimed to create a scenic ambience by seamlessly combining artistry and engineering. “
