Hideo Kumaki Architect Office came up with a highly original twist when planning the Green Screen House, located in Saitama, Japan. The idea of rooms hidden in live green is well depicted by this 130 square meter crib, which integrates a giant insulating natural screen in its exterior design. According to the architects: “The green screen can lower the temperature on the terrace with more than 10 degrees Celsius, which is truly impressive. In mid summer, cool air enters the living room, saving up on the energy bill, by simply using less artificial ventilation. The interior design is much influenced by the curving lines of the building. Minimalist arrangements throughout are complemented by a joyful color palette, delivering a place that is both dynamic and inviting.”Have a look and let us know your thoughts!
