I wouldn’t say exposed bricks are my favorite ‘home decor items’, but the loft we spotted on asunnot.oikotie.fi convinced me that walls left uncovered can sometimes create a cozy, warming atmosphere. People began to love the trick during late 1900s when noticing that, for example, in old houses, it is cheaper to expose them than to repair or to replace the plaster work. Moreover, a new trend was going to set on design market. Today, we love bricks for their warm look, vintage aspect or industrial appearance. No matter what sophisticated persons think about it, a brick wall marks the place and gives you something to thing about. The loft below is located in Finland and it was completely redesigned in 2003. The living room welcomes you near a fireplace, the kitchen has a large dining room and the roof of the building shelter a ‘secret’ heaven: a terrace with Jacuzzi!
