Spread on 160 hectare, Casa Fazenda is located in Amarantina, Portugal and was designed by Helena Teixeira Rios e Jacques Rios. At the beginning the land did not have any basic infrastructure. Everything had to be built from access roads to the site, as well as the installation of electricity and landscaping. The concept of the project was to maximize the existing Atlantic landscape. Thus the location for deployment of the house was carefully chosen, seeking full integration of the house to the landscape and place. The home is warm and welcoming, with many different textures and patterns – and even different tones of wood – mixed together
