We spotted the Miura Hotel on designeast.eu and decided to show you some photos because it has a very interesting concept design. It was realized by Labor 13, a Czech architectural firm. The building is located on a flat plain among the hills of Beskydy Mountains. The north and the south facades have different looks, so the south part is full of random vertical windows, while the north facade is structured with large windows. The hosts explain: ‘The center of the building serves as the functional center of the hotel, so here is the main entrance, the reception and a restaurant on the second floor with glass walls and panoramic views. The rooms can be found on the west and the east part of the building with the main view of the Golf Course. The basement gives place to conference rooms and a spa complex that is naturally illuminated by huge glass walls.‘
The MIURA SPA combines modern design, the highest quality facilities and contact with nature.
Lighting for the whole hotel was provided by the Italian manufacturer of design lighting, Artemide.
The architecture of the whole building is as rugged as the mountains but also cosy where it should be.
In summer the restaurant has a terrace with a view of the golf course. The head chef Otto Kokoszynski’s culinary philosophy is very close to the MIURA hotel. Otto has gained great experience with international cuisine, especially in Italy where he worked in various positions for 14 years.
The entire hotel is literally riddled with art, like no other hotel in the world. Inside the concrete alternates with wood, stainless steel sheets and Corian.
Every day until midnight you can sit in the onyx backlit bar, listen to chill-out music and marvel at the view of the surrounding mountains at dusk.

In point of materials, mostly natural ones, like concrete, glass or stone were used, matched with the minimalistic grey, white, fuchsia/magenta colors.
Spots of orange on a grey background warm the building a little.
The rooms of the hotel are elegant and cozy.
Let the natural light come inside all day long!
The team behind the whole concept is the LABOR13 architectural studio in Prague, led by Albert Pražák, Martin Vomastek and Ji?í Bardod?j. Other leading figures from the world of design, such as Lucie Koldová, Vladimír Ambroz, Jerry Koza, and companies such as 3DH Interier, AMOSDESIGN, Konsepti, KLAFS, Bang&Olufsen and Artemide, have also contributed to the project.
