Belzberg Architects have recently completed the Kona Residence in Hawaii. In between cooled lava flows, is the Kona Residence, this residence is the quintessential island house. The house id divided into two sleeping pods, with common areas, media, master suite and main living space, with a central axis that helps the house stay organized. The house is built with reclaimed teak timber from older barns and train tracks, together with stacked and cut lava rock,  two materials that are historically embedded in Hawaiian tradition.
