When architects change a place, they should be doing this for the community. But do they?
Today, we present you Lone Hotel, a building situated in Monte Mulini forest park, on the Lone Bay. The project was realized by a new generation of designers and architects from 3LHD studio who wanted to create local identity through architecture. The exterior is dominated by horizontal lines – a facade composed of terrace guards designed to evoke the image of slanted boat decks. 3LHD studio had in mind a technique for giving new architecture an identity to relate the hotel to its locality emerged: the spirit of place and the symbol of place.
