Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects is a leading Danish architectural office, practicing architecture, urbanism, landscape, product and furniture design. For them this project was a real challenge, a new addition to the West Zeeland Art Museum places itself into Sorø City centre with deference and respect for existing urban proportions and patterns. The underlying concept for the addition has been a modern interpretation of the archetypal masonry building.
