Completed in 2010, this modern home was designed by Caramel Architekten in Vienna, Austria. The purchased property is a 500 sqm plot, a grassy meadow with trees. Four levels, three above ground and one below, are to yield a total of 300 m² of living space. In order to retain the character of the original meadow, the ground-floor living and dining area are tied to the garden in a generous sweeping gesture. This gives the feeling of a 500-square-meter living room composed of outdoor and indoor spaces. The tail end of the swoosh tapers to human scale forming smooth shallow depressions for sitting, curvilinear furniture, a pool and terrace with rounded corners. The space benefits from floor to ceiling windows that bathe the house in natural light, a divider that separates the living area from the dining room which is also a media center on one side, a bar on the other one and a double-sided fireplace. This amazing house has soft, neutral tones that create the feeling of an airy space. Throughout the entire place you can see modern furniture and some bright, bold colored features that make the home feel warm and welcoming. The bathroom is a big room that has simple furniture, but it also has gorgeous tile that gives the space some personality.
