Jamie Bush & Co. designed the interiors for this prototype of a new very affordable LEED platinum certified prefab house called the C6 by Living Homes. The LivingHome C6/CK series are the lowest cost LivingHomes. The C6/CKs feature open floor plans, upgraded finishes and fixtures, and lots of storage, light and warmth. The C6 series was designed by LivingHomes in collaboration with Make It Right, a nonprofit founded by Brad Pitt and architect William McDonough to build 150 affordable, sustainable homes in New Orleans’ Lower Ninth Ward, the neighborhood hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each C6 will help support the efforts of Make It Right. The open floor plan includes three bedrooms, two baths, nine-foot ceilings and ample amounts of storage space at 1232 square feet. The 1,232 square feet home is built by Cavco, a nationwide leader in the systems buildings of prefabricated homes, and is available in most states. It is capable of being fully constructed in less than two months and installed on-site in one day.
