Few days ago, we found a very interesting project that transforms common electrical towers in imposing statues. We posted one photo on our Facebook page and it had a lot of admirers. Because you liked and shared it, we decided to make an article about it. Gather together, they look like a land of giants or extra terrestrial creatures that came to visit us. Don’t worry they are powerless, bulks of steel.
The Land of Giants
This design transforms mundane electrical pylons into statues on the Icelandic landscape by making only small alterations to existing pylon design. via
Architect Dietmar Koering of Arphenotype has designed these electricity pylons for a competition to envisage a new power transmission network in Iceland. Each pylon would be between 17 and 32 metres tall, with the shape of each one varying according to its longitude and latitude.
