Since 2004, Veronika Richterová‘s work is set mostly in the field of PET-ART(plastic bottle art). Simultaneously she produces creative up-cycling programs for children and adults as well. According to the artist: “When I found out by chance, that plastic bottles ( PET Bottles) could be deformed by heat I decided to create a sculpture from this material. Immediately, I had the idea that it could be called PET-art however, I took it only as one of my visual experimentation. I didn’t anticipate that plastic bottles would become such an obsession for me for many years. Since 2004 I have used thousands of PET bottles and have created hundreds of objects. In doing this work, I have developed many specific methods of technological processing.”
Also, Veronika Richterová creates a great lighting products. She said: ” Bottles made from PET and especially from PE are very inspiring for me thanks to their light quality, which is close to glass characteristics. That‘s why I started to create light objects, chandeliers and lamps. I use this material for developing light designs for my limited editions. Safety is ensured by using energy saving bulbs which produce minimal heat. ”
