Located in the amazing Sha Tin district, this 40 year old house was given a complete makeover by a group of talented architects at Millimeter Interior Design Limited. An older home completely re-imagined and recreated, this sustainable house in Hong Kong is definitely good inspiration for that designer or architect. The designer successfully divided this two-storey house into a garage, a living room, a dining room, a garden, two guest rooms, two guest bathrooms, one helper suite, a master bedroom suite with a spacious walk in closet and a study room. The now new residence measures over 5000 square feet and it is divided into two separate stories. It offers a beautiful street facade that reveals a garage that is striking, and LED light tubes that imprint a futuristic vibe. The external walls of the house are rebuilt over an old fashion style house preserving the original structure. This not only helps save on building reconstruction cost, but it reduces waste to protect the environment.
The inside of this home offers a living room, two guest bedrooms and two bathrooms to go along with them, a helper suite, and a master suite. The spacious master bedroom includes a large walk-in closet that offers a lot of storage space, for clothing and other items. The home’s living room is large and set up in a way that is perfect for entertaining. Finished with a neutral color palette, this sustainable house is created to suite any needs and wants of a home owner – and it is a good place to admire as a designer or architect.
