Have you ever come across a beautiful and bold area rug that you had to have, and once you got it home you thought, “How am I going to design my room around this?” Designed by Plasterlina, this Warsaw apartment is a happy owner of some colorful rugs. A contemporary youthful look was created in the living room space by combining a gray sofa with colorful pillows. The use of color and room separation makes the cozy space seem bigger than it is, with plenty of areas for relaxing, entertaining, and working.
The architectural language of the project is defined by simple lines, order and proportion. The vibrant colors of the throw pillows and rug play off of the Moroccan-inspired mirror, give the space a fresh air. They chose to go with a modern and somewhat minimalist aesthetic, but tried to choose pieces that not only looked good, but were also comfortable. Neutral shades of gray and blue mixed with walnut tones give the place an elegant and inviting feel. For a warm and pleasant atmosphere, the designers added striped pillows, colorful rugs and bright curtains in canvas texture. A delicate cornice plaster conceals the LED lighting strip along the wall. Large windows provide plenty of natural light and the inner courtyard has a story to tell on its own.
