Minimalism is essentially the art of being able to comfortably, conveniently and aesthetically live with less. While on the surface of it all, this task may look easy enough, in reality it is a lot easier said than done.
Villa Lumi is a lovely minimalist house located in Northern Finland. Designed by one of the most famous and contemporary architects, Plus Arkkitehdit, it is a decorum, between modern cult furniture and contemporary art collections, it’s like an open theater where you are the guest. This minimalist house, which is quite large for a leisure home, hides itself as part of a gentle slope when viewed from the street. Completed in 2012, Villa Lumi has 290 sqm. The building’s color is simply plain white but this can still make it standout in the middle of the large trees. The end façade is two storeys high and the building’s large windows open towards the slope of the fell opposite. In addition, the main material that is used is concrete material, so that both exterior and interior decoration of the villa is so incredible. Interiors reflect the love of the owners for modern art and design. A closer look that the lines of the exterior of the house which sure is modern minimalist in style.
