Designed by Romanian architectural firm Andreescu and Gaivoronschi, the A.B. House is located in Timisoara, Romania. The concept was ‘house on a house’ because the owners are a young people which live with their parents. It was made mainly from wood and stone for a reason: wood means youth and freshness, whereas stone has to do with the roots, the passing of time. From the exterior this contemporary home appears solid, strong, reliable, but be prepared to find some surprising features inside. Minimalist elements can be easily observed : stone, solid walls “defend” and close a little the private area. The living room is developed as a “theatre” which can be observed from different levels. The outside eating room represented by a patio and a covered terrace is really lovely.
