When it comes to refurnish, refresh or simply offer a new, contemporary look to an old apartment, call designer Renata Bartolomeu from In / Ex Arquitetura studio! Although she is very fond of what contemporary style has brought on the market lately, she maintains a strong bond with traditional methods. The 70’s apartment we are presenting you today functions as a perfect example. Paying attention to the customer, a young lady that inherited the property from her parents, Renata valued the human touch, respected the space and adapted the interior to multiple needs. The biggest change occurred in the kitchen: without walls, it could be integrated in the dining area through a wide, colorful sliding door. Thus, an airy, comfortable space resulted and the dining room became the heart of the home. Sparks of originality complete what may seem too common or neutral. In contrast to simple materials such as wooden cabinets or white paint on the walls, the tiles from the kitchen create a dreamy world. The result? Without losing the modernist accent, everything became more harmonious and welcoming.
