It is hard to imagine a better environment to build a shelter connected with nature. On the Portuguese coast (about an hour south of Lisbon) lies a hidden piece of paradise … Comporta. Designer and creator of recycled furniture Pequenina Rodrigues, fell in love with the natural beauty of the surroundings and without hesitation, designed this divine shelter. The structure of the house is divided into four traditional fishing huts. In the main hut lies the living room and kitchen, it features three porches overlooking a Jacuzzi dug into the sand. The other three cottages house the master bedroom and bathroom, and a total of three guest rooms. Built on sand and recycled wood structures, the straw huts are connected by open paths through the dunes.
Today’s beach home is located in the town of Comporta, Portugal -about an hour south of Lisbon. It belongs to recycled furniture designer Pequenina Rodriguez.
The home is made up of four traditional fishing huts. The main cottage holds common areas like living and dining room as well as the kitchen. The other three house bedrooms and the exterior holds many options for r&r including a dining area and a pool.
