I love the breezy, relaxed feel of the Mexican design. No matter how sophisticated the inhabitants are, a fiesta is going to start immediately to honor the new comers. The residence we want to present you today features a lovely mix of colors and materials, as well as a good proportion of volumes and structures. Realized by Ike Kligerman Barkley studio, the house ‘borrowed’ multi-pane windows and peaked tile roofs from the regional vernacular architecture of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. Even if the exterior may look very familiar to any local people, the interior surprises with an original blending of styles: modern armchairs, abstract paintings, traditional ceramic vases and minimalist lighting objects. Moreover, a various palette of colors animate the interior painted in green, red and blue. It all reminds me of the Mexico’s artistic heritage, strengthen by their courage and passion for life!
